With the majority of the properties developed by Wood Partners being new, each fitness amenity is an exciting opportunity for us to get creative in design, layout and equipment selection and implement new ideas.
Territory Sales Rep Candace Pettit took the lead in fostering a relationship with Wood Partners and has worked closely with them since we’ve joined forces in 2016. From that point on, she has played a pivotal role in helping them curate exceptional fitness amenities centered around the health and wellbeing of their residents.

Our latest collaborations
Two recent projects that exemplify our collaboration with Wood Partners are Alta Filament and Alta West Morehead. Both luxury living quarters are in the lively city of Charlotte, NC. There are several similarities that undeniably tie them to Wood Partners, like the extensive amenities, and refined atmosphere. However, each amenity retains its own style and features.
Alta West Morehead
When planning Alta West Morehead, Wood Partners was looking for Advantage to help them create a space that incorporated a diverse array of cardio, strength, and functional training options to satisfy the varying preferences of residents and their fitness interests. In addition to premium cardio and strength pieces by Precor, the space also includes a custom functional frame and a digital coaching experience with the MARS touchscreen from Escape Fitness. To tie it all together, Candace helped them work with the modern, bright, and airy aesthetic they were going for. Double-height ceilings and lots of natural light give the space a flowy, open feel that is also inviting.
Alta Filament
The team at Wood Partners wanted the fitness amenity at Alta Filament to give exercisers the familiar feeling of a sports club, but elevated. Iconic urban touches like dark fixtures and dome lighting, set against natural light and scenic views, create a unique and enjoyable atmosphere. The streamlined equipment layout of the main space allows residents to conveniently plan their fitness routine and transition effortlessly between weight training, cardio, HIIT, and beyond. Apart from the main room, exercisers can retreat to a private space to utilize functional accessories, ride on a Peloton Bike, or take advantage of virtual training options. Wood Partners even opted to add outdoor fitness space so exercisers can enjoy bringing portable pieces like Escape accessories to a turfed area outside, a trend that is growing in popularity.
