CELEBRATING OUR 30TH YEAR!

As we begin our 30th year, we’d like to take a moment to reflect on what’s gotten us here and why we’ve continued to grow. Looking back at our starting point, it would have been hard to predict that we would eventually be a team of 70+ talented individuals, serving a total of nine states and partnering with the premier brands in the fitness industry.

SHOWCASE: THE MAUREEN FONSECA CENTER FOR ATHLETICS AND ARTS

The plan for the new Maureen Fonseca Center for Athletics and Arts at The Masters School in Dobbs Ferry, NY, has been in the works for years. Much of the credit for this exemplary fitness center should be given to the Athletic Director, Kevin Versen, who was brought in at the beginning of the process and helped oversee many aspects of the building. The brand new, Gold LEED certified fitness center will be used primarily for phys. ed. classes, while the existing fitness center will be converted into a training room for the school’s athletes. Versen realized the benefits that training on Escape, Keiser, and PowerLift products would offer his teams, and also selected a TRX Training Zone frame and Precor cardio and strength for the new fitness center.

COLLEGE REC MUST-HAVES

COLLEGE REC MUST-HAVES

College and University recreation facilities can offer different challenges than those of other markets. The student and staff population at a college often includes a wide variety of fitness levels and interests, and while paid memberships are usually less prevalent (or completely non-existent), it is still important for facility managers to do their best in meeting the needs of the school’s fitness community. Precor recently took a look at this problem, and were able to determine 4 major factors that play a large part in determining a top-notch recreation center. Below are those four factors, as well as our personal experience with how they play out in this market.
