Transforming an Outdated Space Into a Daily Destination
As part of a larger building initiative, Knoch High School set out to reimagine its wellness and weight room facilities. The goal was clear: create a space that served all students, not just athletes. A modern, welcoming environment that encouraged daily use, pride, and long-term wellness.
The existing weight room was undersized, outdated, and lacked the appeal needed to engage the broader student population. Knoch’s administration saw an opportunity to elevate both student experience and performance through intentional design and upgraded equipment.
The Challenge
Knoch High School needed a fitness space that:
Supported students, staff, and athletic programs
Maximized the available footprint
Balanced performance training with general wellness
Reflected strong school branding and pride
Felt inclusive and inviting, not intimidating
The Solution
Advantage Sport & Fitness partnered closely with Knoch’s administration, athletic department, and physical education staff to bring the vision to life.
From the start, Advantage sales representative Robbie Waller served as a key resource throughout the planning process — helping the Knoch team explore ideas, tour comparable school facilities, and understand how to best utilize the space.
Input was gathered from multiple stakeholders, including PE staff and coaches, while Advantage provided guidance on layout, equipment selection, and flow to ensure the space worked efficiently without sacrificing priority items.
To help the district visualize the finished product, Advantage also provided virtual renderings, allowing Knoch to confidently move forward with branding, layout, and design decisions.
"The response has been excellent. We have students, teams, and staff using the space daily. The excitement that this area has created has been outstanding. Students and student-athletes have taken pride in the new area, and the work being done has already shown amazing results for our teams and in student self-image and confidence."

The Results
The response to the new wellness center has been overwhelmingly positive. Students, teams, and staff now use the space daily, and the upgraded environment has created a noticeable shift in engagement, confidence, and pride. Beyond physical performance improvements, the wellness center has had a meaningful impact on student self-image and overall morale.
“The wellness center at Knoch was part of a large building project. Knoch had a weight room, but it was small with outdated equipment, and was not very inviting to the general student population.
From the beginning of the project, Robbie Waller was an excellent resource for us to bounce ideas off of, he took our Administration team to visit other schools who used Advantage for thier facility. The quality of the product and the line of communication for anything we had questions about made the project seamless.”
