Nic Obey

Regional Sales Manager

Nic is originally from Minnesota and has been an athlete all his life, bringing a natural passion for the fitness industry with him to Advantage.  He played college baseball and focused his education on Kinesiology and exercise science, and then earned his masterโ€™s degree in Leadership in Physical Education and Sport. His career in the fitness industry began when he became a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach at North Dakota State University.

After graduating in 2014, Nic moved on to an opportunity at Georgia Southern University where he worked his way up the ladder, eventually running his entire department as the Director of Strength and Conditioning. He still maintains his strength and conditioning certifications, which has been a useful way for him to stay informed and connected to the fitness industry.

Nic has an invaluable perspective to share at Advantage from previous positions, including his most recent role with Power Lift, one of our beloved partners. He worked in the education market, on the 3D design team, and ultimately became the Director of Sales & Business Development. Knowledge from his years at Power Lift combined with past coaching experience will be key in how he helps design fitness facilities and connects with his clients.

Nic will serve Georgia, Alabama, and North Floridaโ€™s Education Market, and is looking forward to learning and growing with the Advantage team.

He lives in NW Georgia in a beautiful, quiet rural town with his wife, Morgan and their 3-year-old daughter, Ella.
